ArcGIS system
ArcGIS is a software system for the collection, organization, management, analysis, communication, and visualization of geographic information in a comprehensive manner. ArcGIS was developed by Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI), and it is now the most widely used GIS software and database system. ArcGIS has four basic components at present; ArcGIS Desktop (i.e. ArcView, ArcEditor, ArcInfo), ArcGIS engine, Server GIS, Mobile GIS.
