Geo-code is spatial reference data that ties physical locations and shapes to legal addresses. Present in geographic coordinates that allow different spatial analysis and information dissemination for various purposes. Geocode is important in GIS as for operating spatial analysis in real-world geo-codes are often important. Geo-codes are also fundamental for modern real-time data processing of geo-events in progress. Different coordinate systems (i.e. UTM, Decimal degrees) can store geo-codes and numerous geo-coding methods are available, however the most accurate one which uses GPS system.
